Eco-Friendly/Green Initiatives
We are committed to rethinking our approach to sustainability by creating better products and services for our customers. There are many small opportunities all around us. Nuo is committed to helping protect people, natural resources and the world in which we live by incorporating green, eco-friendly initiatives across the company and with our external partners. Our commitment to green alternatives and sustainability will encompass product design, packaging, sourcing, operating and manufacturing practices.
In 2008-09 Nuo is conducting a comprehensive evaluation of our suppliers including manufacturing, packaging, raw materials and components. Our goal is to find ways to eliminate our environmental impact through the reduction and the use of eco-friendly materials and processes. We call this program Eco-Friendly Initiative.
As mentioned, we are striving to research, develop and implement more eco-friendly materials and processes into our cases . Examples include PVC-free materials, cotton-canvas materials (some organic), use of water-based dyes, 100% and partially recycled polyester, recyclable plastic and nickel-free metal making the production of the bags healthier and less harmful to the environment.

Chloe Dao Stitching for a Cause To kick-off Fashion Week, Moves magazine is partnering with Food Bank for New York City to raise money to combat hunger with a unique celebrity design challenge, matching creativity with a good cause. In this unique event, Project Runway participants are to design original handbags in Food Bank’s signature orange color to be donated to a charity auction in the fall. READ IT NOW >  Nuo Eco-Friendly Messenger Bags in PC Today Nuo manufactures cases and bags that are free of PVC material, are made with water- and vegetable-based dyes, use recyclable plastic and nickel-free metal, and incorporate 100% or partially recycled polyester.
